Youth Tutoring Youth

Youth Tutoring Youth (YTY) is an elective, credited class for high school students. Application for the program is made on an individual basis through the high school guidance counselor and the Youth Tutoring Youth Coordinator. YTY tutors provide individual or small group tutoring assistance to elementary, middle school or high school students in a classroom in any SASD school working under the direction of supervising and coordinating teachers. The tutors, in addition, complete a checklist of projects each semester served.
One-half regular credit is awarded for each hour of Youth Tutoring Youth. Daily attendance is required. Transportation to the tutoring site is the responsibility of the student.
We'd love to have you join our tutoring team!

As the YTY coordinator, I get to meet and work with so many amazing students and staff! I also have the opportunity to help future educators share their positive and powerful voices across the SASD community.
Please contact me if you are a current student or teacher interested in joining the program!
